The 2-axis industrial Delta robot is a small, high-speed parallel industrial robot, generally consisting of a moving platform and a static platform connected by two chains: an active arm and a passive arm. The mechanism has two degrees of freedom. Compared with the 3-axis industrial Delta robot, the working space of the 2-axis industrial Delta robot is on an XZ plane, whereas the working space of the 3-axis industrial Delta robot is a three-dimensional space with XYZ directions. The 2-axis industrial Delta robot is more suitable for point-to-point planar movements compared to the 3-axis industrial Delta robot.
